Grow Stronger Mentally on a Daily Basis

HABITS TO HELP YOU BECOME STRONGER MENTALLY WHICH WILL IMPROVE YOUR LIFE ON A DAILY BASIS.

  1. Focus on what you want – not what you don’t want.

Making a commitment to yourself to focus on what you truly want will improve your mindset considerably.    Focusing on what you want enables you to find freedom and time to invest your energy into you and your future.

Take the learnings from your past, any failures and mistakes you have made, are feedback for you.  You can learn from these and they will help you to work out what you do not want to repeat.

Let go of your past, take the time now to experiment on what truly makes you happy and fulfilled on a daily basis.

Focus your energy on what matters to you, everything you do today is building your future tomorrows.

Quote  “You get what you focus on, so focus on what you want”.

  1. Build on your self awareness and make use of all your senses.

Mindfully noticing the world around you and using all your senses will have a massive effect on the way you see your world on a daily basis.  Your Senses are your windows to the world, use them and notice what you notice.

Sometimes we are caught in a tornado of thoughts and emotions. Take time to know yourself, understand your motivations and this will in time help you make better decisions.

Having a better understanding of yourself will empower you to make change and build on your areas of strength.

Spend time with you and enjoy time alone too, which will allow you time and space to increase your emotional intelligence.

Quote “When you are self aware you can see where your thoughts and emotions are guiding you”.

  1. Embrace Change

Although change can be daunting – Change is a good thing.

Change your thoughts and habits and these will both change your world.

Make changes to what is not working for you.  Adopt a growth mindset where you are constantly growing in the different areas of your life, opening your mind to embrace new opportunities and possibilities.   Adopting a growth mindset is so powerful for your mind as you are consciously creating and moving forward towards your goals.

If you are unsure about making a change – imagine what would happen if you stay where you are in 6 months, 2 years, 5 years time.

If you are always wondering? Then you will never know.  Take the leap of faith, gather a support network around you and step out your comfort zone and give it a go.

Your mental strength will grow and expand if you try new experiences and be prepared to take the learning from everything.  Go for it – be the change you want to see in the world.

Quote “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old but on building the new”.

  1. Spend time on Focusing on what you can control.

When you spend time focusing on what you can’t control then it’s easy to feel stuck in a rut and you are in fact  giving away your personal power.  By focusing on what you can control and investing your time and energy on intentional actions, you feel empowered, more confident and a sense of achievement.

How do your thoughts and feelings influence you on a daily basis?

Do you spend time focusing on what you can control?

If you are finding your thoughts and emotions running away with you then Mindfulness is a very good practice that can bring your attention back to the present moment.

So take a moment – are you focusing your energy in the right places – you have the power to take control and change this.

Quote “Focus on what you can control rather than outcomes you cannot”

  1. Do more of  what makes you Happy…….

If you spend time more time doing what makes you happy, you instantly build your confidence.  You are telling yourself you are worthy and deserving of spending time being happy.  Your Mindset is more focused and sharpened.

Remember you are accountable for your thoughts and actions, the future is uncertain but by being proactive and experimenting in new experiences – you will work out what makes you happy and you can build new habits accordingly on a daily basis.

Quote “I am in charge of how I feel and today I am choosing Happiness”

  1. Practice Gratitude

Look for the good things in your life, noticing the good in your life helps you to feel more positive, improves energy levels, helps you to appreciate what you have in your life rather than what you don’t have.    It’s the single most powerful source of inspiration you can tap into if you simply pay attention to the beauty and miracle of life.

Quote “Gratitude helps you see what’s there instead of what isn’t.

  1. Challenge Negative Thoughts

The way that we think about things has a massive impact on our mood daily.  Many of these thoughts appear out of our control  and can be unhelpful at the way we are feeling.   When you recognise an unhelpful thought by asking yourself questions, for example, is there any evidence that this thought is true?  What would you say to a friend who had this thought? Is there a different way of looking at the situation?  Will I still have this thought in 6 months time?  These are examples and there are so many different ways you can challenge your negative thought patterns.

Quote “We think how we act and feel – Challenge your thoughts and you will change your world”

  1. Do not Compare yourself to Others

Although this is very difficult sometimes, what you have to remember is that you are totally unique, there is nobody else on this planet the same as you and as individuals we all have our unique qualities.   When you are conscious of comparing yourself to others then remind yourself that you have your own unique strengths and talents.   Look at how far you have come and remember you have a choice to go as far as you choose.  You have the power to create your own individual success and live your own amazing life.

Quote “Don’t compare yourself to others – no one can play your role better than you”

  1. Create New Habits

Create New positive habits and focus on sticking to them.  So creating new regular habits in your life is really positive for your mindset and your confidence.  So the world is your oyster – what’s going through your mind.

Focus on starting, find something you enjoy, watch your thoughts, what are the benefits for you? what is your motivation for doing this?    It takes at least 21 days to change/create new habits.

Notice what you notice and how these new habits make you feel.

Quote “good habits are as addictive as bad habits but much more rewarding”

  1. Know your Boundaries

Your boundaries are the limits you set around what you will and will not do, as well as what you will and will not accept or tolerate from others.   It is up to you to uphold these limits.   Your boundaries will support you to carefully choose and consciously create what you want to bring into your life.

So spend time defining your boundaries, what behaviour will you and won’t you accept from others?

Strong boundaries will protect your Self Esteem.  Take time to notice what makes you feel uncomfortable, upset or stressed – these feelings help you to identify what your limits are.   Once you recognise your limits and show yourself the respect you deserve then your self worth and self esteem will greatly increase.

Quote “your personal boundaries protect the inner core of your identity and your right to choices in all areas of your life”
